The NOODIST

Next month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Before October rolls around, we'd like to share some good news. Advancements in screenings and treatments and increased awareness are making a difference. Here are some encouraging statistics and developments in breast cancer treatments.
It’s no secret that breast cancer is the most common type of cancer diagnosed in women. But what many people don’t know is that there are over 2700 cases of invasive breast cancer expected to be diagnosed in men in the US this year alone. So if ever there was a reason to nag the men in your life, this is it.
Breast cancer is rare for women under 40. So, a breast cancer diagnosis can be shocking news for a young woman to hear. Breast cancer in young women can have its own risk factors and traits, and young women have their own considerations when deciding on a treatment.
Sometimes a bra just isn't going to work with backless, strapless and plunging outfits. But this is often enough to make us larger-busted ladies put that backless dress back on the rack and stick to what we know. You do have options, ladies!

In 2021 alone, an estimated 281,550 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women in the U.S. as well as 49,290 new cases of non-invasive breast cancer.

As we move past the seemingly endless hum that has been January, it is time to take 2022 by the tatas and start advocating for your health. Wondering where to start? Pick up the phone and call your mom.

Each year the month of October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Checking your breasts for abnormal changes is one of the most important things you can do for your health. It could save your life. This month, along with raising awareness to self-check, many brands are showing their support in different ways. From charity runs to fundraising meals, here’s how you can get involved.
