OUR TOP TIPS:
FIRST TIME USERS & WEAR TIME RECOMMENDATIONS
This product is not intended for daily use. Please allow your skin 72 hours to breathe between uses.
If you are wearing adhesive tape for the first time wear for only 3-4 hours at a time. Our products can last up to 8 hours, however a shorter first-time use is recommended to introduce the tape to the skin. When exceeding the recommended use time on skin that is not familiar with the products for longer than advised, this can cause irritation and injury may occur. As with any skincare product, your skin needs time to adjust. Our recommendation for safe use is to build wear time gradually with each use. If you know you need them for a full day event please get used to the tape beforehand.
If you have worn our tape or adhesive bra before with no reaction we recommend a safe wear time of 6-8 hours- Regular users can wear for longer but you know your own skin sensitivity. Experienced users can still experience skin overheating so please read all information below.
ADHESIVE, HEAT & BODY TEMPERATURE
Our Game Changer Adhesive Bra and Shape Tape contain a hypoallergenic, medical grade, heat-activated adhesive which bonds to the skin more intensely as your body temperature rises. This is also why our tape is sweat-proof and waterproof. There is a chance of water blisters occurring in environments where your body temperature is rising. While hemp fabrics are more breathable than other fabrics, as well as being naturally antimicrobial, there is the rare occurrence when sweat is produced and can’t escape fast enough and can result in water blisters. This blister can tear open upon removing the tape.
DIRECT SUNLIGHT & SUNBATHING
We do not recommend staying in direct sunlight for long amounts of time when wearing the products. Heat activates the adhesive and high temperatures can cause the adhesive to get extra sticky which may result in skin irritation or a difficult removal. When the skin is subjected to high temperatures and direct sunlight it is more likely to overheat and produce more sweat, which in turn may cause blistering and irritation and make removal of the tape difficult. While this may only happen to a small percentage of users, we do not recommend sunbathing while wearing the adhesive products.
If choosing to swim in the tape please ensure you are not exposing your skin to hot direct sun for too long. Being in water for long amounts of time may dissolve the adhesive and cause the tape to peel away.
Customers who choose to wear the tape in direct sunlight or in very hot climates do so at their own risk. Ignoring our guidelines may cause skin abrasions, irritation and blistering.
DO NOT APPLY TO SUNBURNED SKIN
Sunburnt skin is already irritated and sensitive. Applying an adhesive product will cause more irritation, soreness and even skin tearing or blistering. NEVER apply our products to broken, irritated or sunburnt skin.
Mature skin is naturally thinner and can be more susceptible to marking. It is recommended that users aged 50+ should always patch test before use. We lose elasticity the older we get, so keep this in mind when expecting your skin to support your tatas without straps. We suggest using it for short amounts of time to get the skin used to the products and recommend 3 hours as a start and then build up once you feel comfortable that there will be no irritations. Excessive wear time may cause skin irritation.
NOOD adhesive products make use of a proprietary skin-mimicking adhesive pattern on backing of these products. This will sometimes leave a short-term imprint in the skin and can strip the area of any self tan.
DON’T OVER STRETCH OR STRAIN THE TAPE
The stretch in NOOD products is there so that the tape moves with you and supports the tension of the breast without peeling or popping off. Please no not stretch it during application. Use more tape or a bigger size if you feel that you need to stretch it to apply it the way you need to. Make sure you are using the correct size as per our size guide, wearing a size too small can also cause strain & pull.
When applying, always support the weight of the breast with one hand whilst applying the tape with the other to secure your breast in place. Don’t let go and then stretch and pull the tape up to lift the breast. We have a top and bottom half of our backing-paper to allow you to do this easily and gently.
Place the tape down where your hand has positioned the breast. If you are experiencing irritation & skin grazes only to the very tip of where the tape was applied, this may be a sign that the tape was over stretched and causing tension on the skin where the tape was anchored down.
There is no need to pull the Game Changer up to the shoulder or up towards the collar bone. The bra needs to sit on the fleshier part of the breast tissue. Our adhesive products should never be applied to the centre of the chest where skin is thinner and never apply near the neck.
If you are styling an outfit with the tape that requires a holster style, ensure you extend the tape over the collar bone toward your back for even support. We do not recommend the holster style for cup sizes above a D.
LAYER WITH CARE
Because our products are uniquely made with hemp fabric, some layering is fine. The hemp is naturally more breathable and antimicrobial. However, over-laying too much tape may cause the skin to overheat or cause rubbing and friction which may result in blisters.
DON’T TEAR OFF DRY SKIN
We always recommend using a body oil,or body lotion, and peel in an upward motion gently. Quickly tearing off dry skin result in irritation, blistering or tearing of the skin.
USE OIL OR OIL BASED PRODUCT TO REMOVE
Saturate the tape in oil and leave for a few minutes and then peel away the tape gently. The oil will help dissolve the adhesive to make the tape peel away gently and stop any damage to the skin. Moisterizer also works, but oil-based products will dissolve the adhesive faster. Start from the bottom and pull up gently, take it slow. Use your other hand to press down on the tape to stop any pull. Do not peel down and against the skin.
START FROM THE BOTTOM
Peel upwards gently and taking it slowly whilst using your other hand to press down on the tape to stop any pull and help release the tape from the skin. Do not peel down and against the skin. Please follow all removal instructions which come with your adhesive bra or tape.
CARE FOR ALLERGY-PRONE/SENSITIVE SKIN OR INJURY:
If you experience itching, irritation, burning or discomfort, remove the tape immediately. This may indicate an allergy to acrylic.
Our tape is free from zinc oxide & latex but if you are sensitive to adhesive, acrylic, elastane or similar products such as band-aids (plasters), do not use NOOD adhesive products.
NOOD adhesive products are certified hypoallergenic and medical grade. If you are unsure of any allergies do not use the products and consult a doctor first if you’re not sure. If rashes occur due to allergic reactions, NOOD cannot be held responsible and it is the user’s responsibility to ensure safe use and read all information provided before continuing with the product.
If you are prone to heat rashes or skin getting hot and red, please be extra vigilant and do a test run of only 1-2 hours.
RED MARKS/BUMPS OR SWIRLS ON THE SKIN:
Skin sensitivity can differ from person to person and on rare occasions where irritation occurs, users may experience temporary redness, raised bumps or slight skin discoloration after use. It is normal to experience these, or redness or darker marks after removing the tape as the tape stimulates blood circulation to the area making the pores appear pink or darker. This is temporary and will fade as the skin cools and when the adhesive is removed from the skin. Bigger busts may experience this more due to the weight of the breasts. If you start to feel any itching it may be a sign that your skin is overheating or getting hot.
